Application Review and Rating

A note to certification chairs:

 

We have made some changes to both the process and the form for certification chairs to evaluate candidates for the major national meets that are selected by the Selection Committee. This memo will hopefully assist you in doing your evaluations.

First, you will be able to evaluate any candidate at any time as soon as the application window opens on 15 September. Second, you will be notified via email when an official who claims to be from your association has applied. Please be sure to check your spam email folder in case it is routed there.

When you are ready to do your evaluation, please click on this link. This will access the Chair Certification page.

The top of the form has changed, in that you now have the option to enter your email address if you would like to have an electronic copy of the evaluation. This will better allow you to keep track of what officials you may have already evaluated.

Enter your login credentials. If you do not know yours, please contact Roger Burbage for more information.

When you enter your login, the title next to the round button will change from “Association” to the name of your association. Please see below: Please click on the round button so that the list will be filtered to only show Master and National level officials from your association.

From the drop-down list titled “Candidate”, select the official that you want to evaluate. The events that they have applied for to work will appear in the boxes under each meet that they applied for.
Please note: If they did not apply for a meet, such as the Senior Outdoor championship in this example, you will see no information relative to that meet.



For each event, please enter a rating of 1-5, and please select if the official is certified at the National or Master level in that event. Please do this for each event for each meet listed.

At the bottom of the form, you are required to enter any brief comments about the official that you feel will be helpful to the Selection Committee. You are limited to 500 characters, so please be concise.



After you have completed the form, please click the “Submit” button. At this time, you will need to repeat the complete process to submit another evaluation for another candidate.
